The Los Angeles Dodgers are trading outfielder Manuel Margot to the Minnesota Twins and plan to sign free agent super utility man Kiké Hernández to a one-year contract once the trade is finalized, sources told ESPN.

After shopping Margot in recent days, the Dodgers struck a deal to send the Twins the 29-year-old outfielder and shortstop prospect Rayne Doncon for shortstop prospect Noah Miller.

The Royals have been looking for ways to strengthen their bullpen all offseason, and they didn’t stop when the offseason ended and Spring Training began.

On Saturday, they swung a trade for Red Sox right-hander John Schreiber while sending their No. 19 prospect David Sandlin to Boston.

A day after losing to Minnesota in salary arbitration, utilityman Nick Gordon was traded from the Twins to the Miami Marlins on Sunday for left-handed reliever Steven Okert.

The Marlins acquired right-hander Darren McCaughan from Seattle for cash Friday after the Mariners placed him on waivers earlier in the week.

The 27-year-old McCaughan has pitched in five major league games, posting a 7.07 ERA in 14 innings. He made one start in 2021.

The Los Angeles Dodgers changed the complexion of the back end of their bullpen on Monday, trading left-hander Caleb Ferguson to the New York Yankees and agreeing with right-hander Ryan Brasier to a two-year, $9 million contract.

The Chicago White Sox swung a pair of trades with contending teams Saturday, sending right-handed reliever Gregory Santos to the Seattle Mariners, and right-handed prospect Cristian Mena to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

From Seattle, the White Sox received a package that includes a pair of players on the Mariners' 40-man roster -- hard-throwing right-hander Prelander Berroa and outfielder Zach DeLoach -- as well as the 69th pick in the 2024 draft. In the deal with the Diamondbacks, which was announced on social media by the White Sox, outfielder Dominic Fletcher goes to Chicago from Arizona and should be in the mix for playing time this year.

The Oakland Athletics agreed to terms with left-hander Alex Wood on Friday and acquired right-hander Ross Stripling and cash in a separate transaction from the San Francisco Giants.

Financial terms were not disclosed for Wood.

The A's parted ways with minor league outfielder Jonah Cox to complete the deal with the Giants. 

The Baltimore Orioles have acquired former Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers, the teams announced Thursday, giving up infielder Joey Ortiz, left-hander DL Hall and the 34th pick in the 2024 draft in a deal between two reigning division winners.
